For those among us who worry about today's CHUCKaway society perhaps its worth taking a look at Dieter Zimmermann's work. He calls himself a simple "furniture maker", even though his work exhibited in museums and the artworld's galleries. Zimmerman is a graduate in industrial design but his work comes with a history, histories even, exposing wear and tear, age and weathered surfaces to the world. Zimmermann's skill is to do with putting the spotlight on the aesthetics found in his materials past.
Most of his works is unique. The pieces shown on his website are part of a collection that has been changing regularly for the past 20 year
